On January 25, 2025, a 32-year-old man was crossing the street when he was struck and killed by a green or teal pickup truck. Investigators are still looking for the driver.
The wreck occurred at the intersection of Rock Springs Road at Seven Oakes Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
“It’s just honestly beyond devastating and heartbreaking that somebody would just choose to hit him and leave him out there like that,” the man’s fiance said at a candlelight vigil. “You know what you did was wrong,” she said to the unknown driver. “All you had to do was stop. You could have possibly saved a life regardless if it was an accident and you did not see him. All it took was one phone call, one phone call, and he could’ve still been here.”
The family hopes that by raising awareness, someone with information about the case will come forward.
Investigators are asking anyone with information about the hit-and-run to contact the California Highway Patrol.
