The bombs you are probably referring to were dropped on Japan - specifically on the cities of Nagasaki and Hiroshima. Paul Tibbets flew the Enola Gay which dropped the bomb on Hiroshima. I don't know the other.

Colonel Tibbets dropped Little Boy (Hiroshima, JP), then Major Sweeney dropped Fat Man (Nagasaki, JP).
