They don't force you to sign, they do it for you. It's called "stoploss"
but they don't do it for 2, they do it for another 4

You aren't forced to sign up or re-enlist. It's voluntary.
What you are talking about is Stop Loss. If you are deployed, or about to deploy, you will be forced to stay in the Army until that deployment is over, plus 90 days to out-process when you get home.
I don't know what the statistics are. Half the people in my Platoon were Stop Lossed our second deployment to Iraq. I was held 10 months extra in the Army.

.
No, NEVER.
.
Remember, however, that ALL initial enlistments/commissionings are for a total of eight (8) years. This 8 years will be through any combination of active and inactive service. Thus, on a 2 year pump, you've got 6 inactive. And so on and so forth.
.
Additionally, ALL contracts have a clause allowing the government to retain you on active duty in times of war. Hey, you're signing up for the armed forces, not a burger joint. For this trouble, you do get a pay raise (25%!) and tax breaks.
.
An additional 2 years will never - repeat, NEVER - happen without your consent.
.
That automatic 2 years rumor is your welcome to the world of "sea lawyers," self-appointed gods and other truth challenged individuals in the cracks and crevices of the armed forces. (Or worse: People who've never served.)
.
Hey, this is America. EVERYTHING is in your contract. It's a legal, binding document.
.
You have questions? Ask!
.
You have doubts? Don't sign!
.
Problems down the road? Write your Congressman!
.
It's all there in black and white.
.
Good Luck.

you will only be extended for the duration of your current orders. however getting a 2 year AD contract is going to be very hard.. most MOS require a minimum of FOUR years AD followed by 4 in either the Reserves or IRR.

The chances are ZERO. Compulsatory reenlistment is not part of the deal.
If your deployed when your ETS date comes up, you won't be sent home to separate. Once your redeploy home, you'll have ninety days and then you'll ETS. There is no new or forced contract.
Sidenote: You do know that you actually sign up for eight years, right? If your contract is for two years active, and you decide not to re-up, you have six years of inactive service left in which you could be called back.

They cannot force you to re-enlist.
If you can get a two year contract.. then you serve two years. You can be stop lossed but they cannot force you to sign again.

They can't force you to re-enlist . But they can trick you into it so be careful and read everything. I think Your talking about recalling. And yes they can recall you within the 4 years you get out. Good luck
