what are the chances for deployment?

2008-05-23 04:10:01 +0000	I hate to say it Gracie but if he is in the field training right now and he does not have a medical profile then he is eligible for deployment. Such things usually carry a medical profile with them while the person is being treated and they can not be required to attend training like that or deployed until it is healed and they are cleared medically to go back to normal duty. It almost sounds to me like something has not been done correctly and he needs to have his knee checked out and make sure that all the paperwork is completed so that he is healthy and good to go or if not then it noted and he gets treated and gets healthy and then goes. I would also suggest you read the Army Times and it will give you some insite about some of the things that directly or indirectly affect him and you as his dependent once you are married. Along with that many units have social and support groups for spouses of deployed members and those can be a great source of help and support, especially for someone like yourself that is new to the military so you might want to check into that or ask him to for you. Update: With the additional details you gave I'm guessing that unless he at least asks about getting assigned to Rear D (my hubby did when I was a high risk pregnancy and my due date was around the time they left) he will get deployed. Also be aware if the unit ends up "needing" him even if he is originally assigned to Rear D he could still end up going (my hubby left 2 1/2 months after I gave birth). 2008-05-23 03:58:35 +0000	It depends on his medical status. If the docs put him on a non-deployment status, then he won't go anywhere until they say he's healed enough to go. If they think it'll heal up just fine on its own, then he'll still go when he's called.
