Active Army - 42
Army Reserves (Including National Guard) - 42
Active Air Force - 27
Air Force Reserve (inlcuding National Guard) - 34
Active Navy - 34
Naval Reserves - 39
Active Marines - 28
Marine Corps Reserve - 29
Active Duty Coast Guard - Age 27. Note: up to age 32 for those selected to attend A-school directly upon enlistment (this is mostly for prior service).
Coast Guard Reserves - Age 39.
However, prior service enlistees can receive an "age waiver

42yo, When I went to Basic, one of the guys of 42 and turned 43 on basic. It all depends on waivers, they request some waiver depending on the age, even on the amount of dependants on the family.

Right now, it's different for every branch. The branch that accepts people over the age of 40 is the Nat. Guard and the Army.
You would have to talk to a recruiter about the age for other branches.
Highly suggest checking out each branch's websites for more info.

You have to start training before your 42nd birthday for the Army and Army Reserve. I believe the Army National Guard is the same.

I think its 25 for first time enlistment but older for reserves. Civil Service has other considerations such as experience in the job field.....its very common for people to switch service branches if they intend to make the military their career.
