All MOS have the possibility/chance of deployment.

Well, techincally all jobs deploy.
However, MP's and SpecOps have some of the Greatest risk of deploying for the Airforce. Unless he goes in as an officer, which he wont since he's going to enlist, but if he were to, than pilots also share a large risk. Either Fighter pilots, Cargo plane pilots or Helicopter pilots. Gooodluck.

Very good. I was deployed for 6 out of my 8 years in the Air Force. And all jobs deploy. If you or him are concerned about deployment, then perhaps joining the military is not a good decision for you guys.

Your husband will be assigned a "bucket". His "bucket" will come up for a window of deployment for a certain period (4-6 months just as an example) and if he is needed to fill a job he will be deployed. The Air Force is currently doing 6-12 month deployments. Some jobs do deploy more often than others. But typically speaking he will be home for a year and gone for 6-12 months. Enlisted and officers deploy at the same rate. My husband is an officer and has been deployed twice in the past 2.5 years. The job you have state side may not the job you will be filling during a deployment so MOS really doesn't play a big factor with Air Force deployments.

Jobs don't deploy. Units and Brigades and sometimes even Divisions deploy. So it really doesn't matter what job he has. If the unit he is assigned to is getting ready to deploy and they need him, he will deploy.

All MOS's have their ups and downs and sometimes it might be good or bad depending on what Unit or Division or Base (Post) he is assigned to.

Good luck to both of you as your hubby chooses to enlist, it is hard being a military wife.

Unless he's a technician working on nuclear warheads in the missile fields of North Dakota and Montana the odds of him being deployed are 100%.

100%. It's not about jobs, its about units. Accept the fact that you will be alone for months at times.
