Marines have their own school for training their infantry. It is called the School of Infantry and is done after their boot camp. Army infantry are trained from day 1 to be grunts then depending on the unit they are going to may attend another school like Airborne or Air Assault. Still all services go the Army's Airborne School at Fort Benning when I went through we had around 10 Air Force guys, 4 Navy guys who were going to be SEALS, and 15 Marines 12 of whom were going Recon and 3 were going to be riggers. Also a lot of services will send their people through the Army Ranger School as well.

Yes, Marines, the Navy and Airforce all train at Ft. Benning for Infantry, primarily those in one of the for special forces/special operations, as well as airborne and quite a few other things. It is very true that the Army Infantryman is the best trained Infantryman in the services, and in fact, in the world.
I once heard a great speech, by a retired General, who said the entire purpose of every member of the Army, is to support the Infantryman. They feed, cloth, supply, give tactical support, intel, communications, and every other function to the Infantryman, because he IS the Army. Do, to say they do it best is an understatement. And that is why the other branches of service use the Army Infantry School. It is actually a wise use of resources, a practice that continues today.

No Marines do NOT go to Army infantry school.
We have our own school of infantry. Marines DO however go to Army bases to train on their own. We also attend the Armys airborne school.
And Marine Infantry is definitely the best infantry in the United States.
No armyman will argue that point.
If you have anymore questions about Marine infantry training, just email me.

Untrue. The Marines conduct their own infantry training. They do go to Ft. Benning if they then go into Marine Recon, as the Army is the only branch that conducts Ranger and Airborne training.

YES MARINES DO TRAIN and learnWITH THE ARMY infantry!!!!!
I have a cousin in the Marines very cocky and is a braggart don't know why, always talking s***t about me joining the Army but trained at FT. Benning lol....dork. Idon't know why Marines talk smack about the Army when we fight together in Iraq and Afghanistan side by side. Army rank up faster and have better benefits lol.....don't get me wrong I support the Marines but I see Marines switching to the Army all the time.... ARMY STRONG BABY

Yes, He was at the Army's Infantry Officer Advanced Course at the time.
In te pre war days, the Marine Corps was a vey small service, around 18,000 Marines.
They didn't have all the professional school's that they have today.
Even Marine Boot hasn't always been the same, it has went from 8 weeks, to 10 weeks, back to 8 weeks to 4 weeks, back to 10 weeks, to 8 weeks, back to 10 weeks, back to 9 weeks , then slowly increased to what it is today.
Before 1915, Marines didn't have Boot at all, all training was done by the unit you were assigned to.

Theres the Army - then theres ARMY INFANTRY :-)
Saying something is better than a Army Infantryman is like telling a Lion (king of the jungle) another animal is better than him :-) Even if it is another Lion - your telling one Lion another Lion is better than him. He's going to show his teeth and take a bite out of your *** :-0

marines and army dont have the same infantry tactics the marines ain't big enough to us army battle field tactics it would be like a little man trying to wear a big mans pants the dont fit.the marines cant support themselves as long as the army so that cant stay in the same place as long as the army so they have to give it back to the enemy sooner.
