If you can't make it through the Air Force's boot, then you definately won't be making in through the Army's!!!

If I were looking at this from an Army recruiter's point of view, I'd say "yes" - when hell freezes over.

Perhaps military service isn't for you -- lots of other options out there. Good luck.

I know for a fact that the Marine Corps will allow reenlistment 2 years after you receive ELS, and I believe it would be the same with any other branch. However, if there's any kind of mental instability present on your medical record you would not be elligible for enlistment.

Dude, If you can't make it through at San Antonio, good luck with any other service. The Air Force has the least demanding primary training of all united states military branches.

It makes absouluetly no sense that a sain person would screw up the opportunity of a lifetime. And thats exactly what you did. I find it hard to believe that ANY branch would want to waste our hard earned tax dollars on someone tht pulls a stunt on that. Seriously, countinue counseling & maybe jsut get a civilian job!

You need to call your local recruiters office and make an appoint with them.Take all your records and let them do an inquiry for you about this.Don't take the word of somebody on here.

Are you nuts? Oh wait you already established that. Why would ANY branch of the military want you in it? Luckily, your record will follow you.

Im sorry, but you wont be able to re-enlist.
As someone who is just newly enlisted in the Army, I have to say that the policy is probably for the best.... I would be a little concerned serving next to someone who was suicidal after two weeks of basic training, considering your term will bring much more difficulties!!!
There are several other options available to you, and the Army hires a whole slew of civilians to work certain jobs (like at MEPs) dont be discouraged, keep pressing forward!
I hope you get better soon and good luck to you.

I agree that maybe the military isn't for you. As someone said, you're lucky that it won't follow you(like a section 8). I'd say cut your losses and run. You ended up better than 95% of those who are involuntarily seperated!
My main question is why you tried to do it? was it the training? Because physically, the Army Basic will be more demanding. I understand that the AF has upgraded Basic Training to come more in line with other branches, but to date AF basic is still shorter and less phyically involved than Army basic. If you felt you couldn't "hack it" then you're in for a very rude awakening at Army Basic!
