Cognito	When someone does something strange laugh. You sound like you need to laugh my friend. How about getting a few comedy dvds and laughing instead of getting drunk? It is alot healthy and nicer way to arouse emotions. You can also try a little meditation repeating the mantra 'I am at peace I accept all that life gives me'. A black woman with white hair shouldn't lead down the slippery road of alcoholism it should lead you to an Xmen movie. Storm in the Xmen was sexy black woman with white hair! When you are at peace and happy within yourself people respond accordingly. When you are fearful and tense people react accordingly. karen v	first of all, GOOD ON YOU for six months off the beer! I've had the sad experience of living with an alcoholic, and becoming very familiar with why and how alcoholism operates. I somewhat understand how extremely difficult it can be, and how badly you feel you need a drink when things aren't rolling along the way you would like. As an alcoholic, you have a disease, one that never goes away. You feel a desperate need to drink, it's your way of coping with things. You already know it doesn't work-otherwise you wouldn't have stopped drinking. You also know that if you drink ONE drink, you'll be right back to the heavy drinking again. Your brain really wants you to drink. It has been programmed to want alcohol, and it will do ANYTHING to get it. It will play tricks on you, start fights with people over nothing, give you all kinds of reasons to take a drink. It doesn't care what damage it does to your life. So what it does is make up excuses to drink, so that it can blame other things as to why you "need" a drink. My boyfriend used to do that ALL the time. He'd pick a fight over some insignificant and sometimes non existing issue, JUST so he could blame ME for "making him so angry he had to have a drink". Does it REALLY TRULY matter to you if your wife came home with white hair? My guess is, because your body is craving alcohol, it's going to tell you YES, good LORD, her hair is WHITE, she's done it JUST to get a rise out of me, the b^&^h!" Think about it logically here, you really care for her right? You didn't marry her HAIR, you married ALL of her. And SHE is not the problem. Are you going to AA, or getting counselling of any sort? Is there anyone you go to to talk to? I know AA, with their religious based program, isn't for everyone. They are still a really good resource, they can tell you where to go, give you names of counsellors and other support groups in your area to go to. If you don't want to go there, go to your local doctor(or a non local doctor if you aren't comfortable with someone you know), and they may be able to give you information on counsellors and support groups for alcoholics. You NEED someone to talk to, both to vent to, and to support you when your brain is telling you stupid things to try and get it's alcohol fix. It's a really really tough thing to do on your own. Carolina V	Are you looking for an excuse to drink? You need to go back to your AA meeting or talk to a counselor now. Looking for an excuse to drink and then to blame them for making you do it , is low and you have to accept your responsiblity of wanting to and then you need to accept you need help and then join a class near by and I wish you all the best in beating this habit. You can do this with help and if you put your best part it will all be behind you. You can do this, and you will be glad you did, because you will be a better person sober.
