Make sure that you both agree not to have children. I have a friend that got married and had told her husband before they were married that she wanted children and he said he did also. But when they were married for 5 years she asked to get pregnant and he told her he didn't want children yet. So she waited and waited. They were married for 15 years and now they are going through a divorce for other reasons but she feels she was cheated out of having children and is now too old to have any. One of them is a personal trainer, and this will probably seem like a dumb reason to some people, but she doesn't want to put her body through that...and she likes having the freedom to do what she wants when she wants. The other is content with having dogs, and a lot of them. I personally thought I wanted two or three kids, then I got married and had a daughter and realized that one is enough for me.
