Nope, in the majority of states you can be fired 'at will', meaning they don't have to give a reason.
Even in the rest you could be fired for your conduct towards a fellow worker, even off the clock.
Only a union could prevent it and I very much doubt that you have that protection.
You can't be fired for that, no. But I guarantee you that you would be fired within a week for something, even if he has to make it up or engineer it to happen.
