Without knowing the job requirements, I can only speculate on why. Did they say that was the reason? If they did, they would have to show that the position requires you to either be a certain age and be able to drive.
If they did not mention those two reasons, there is no harm is asking why they did not choose you, though they may just say they picked a more qualified candidate.
Sadly, some decisions are based on personal opinion or bias instead of based on skill.

Well maybe the job requires you to drive so that's why you were rejected? Happens to me since I still don't have a driver's license.

Im starting work soon aswell and i also need to learn how to drive, it is technically you fault because its one of the jobs requirements and you didnt meet it.
Its tuff but you just gotta get that licence and probably get a job which doesnt need you to have a licence.

Look for a different job and learn how to drive.
If the job involved you driving a company vehicle or making deliveries, it is within thier right to hire someone who can do the job.
It would have been nice if you happened to mention what kind of job it was.

If the job required even the remote possibility that you would be doing any driving, the fact that you don't drive be a valid reason to not hire you. Get your license and go back to apply.

Did the job require you to drive or to have a stable form of transportation? If so then get your license.

Many jobs require that you have a valid driver's license. There is also the fact that if you don't own your own transportation and mass-transit is not a going concern where you live (as it isn't where I live, even though it should), management might be a bit leery at hiring someone who might not be able to show up on time. You really don't have a case here, sorry.

if the job does not directly require you to drive you can technically sue them (im agains stupid law suits, but in this time and age with un employment, people get desperate)... or atleast in new jersey you can, but look up ur states laws regarding employment, and maybe you can threaten to sue them if they dont reevaluate your resume, or re interview you... im not to sure how you should go about fixing this, but good luck
