If you do have 2 weeks due then you should get it itemised with your final pay slip. If you have taken some holiday in the companies financial year then it depends on how many moths you have worked in that year. For example if you have 4 weeks per year and work for 6 months without a holiday then you are entitled to 2 weeks holiday pay. If you have worked 6 months and have taken 1 weeks holiday then you will be entitled to only 1 week holiday pay. The months are based on the companies year. Usually January to December.

In the state of Ohio there is no state law that requires employers to pay out all accrued and unused vacation time. It is at the policy of the company whether or not they do this for their employees. Check your company handbook to see what the policy is.

Check your company's policy. Vacation is usually a benefit, not a requirement.

I don't believe Ohio laws mandate the pay out of vacation time -- therefore it will be entirely up to your employer whether or not you are paid that time.

My advice for those resigning is to find out the employer's policy PRIOR to resignation so that you can plan. Since the law doesn't say vacation pay must be give for unused time, you may be out of luck.

in most states this is a policy issue
only a few states actually by law require you receive payment for unused accrued paid time off. just ask your employer what their policy is.
