Does my employer have to act if i am beaten up outside of work by my old boss?

Astaroth	No, your employer does not have to act. You may find that there is a clause in his contract of employment which states that he must not bring the company into disrepute, but if he is not in uniform then this does not really apply. Fairy Nuff	No I don't think they do. I have seen many similar instances where I work and the same thing, always not a work issue as outside of work. Take it to the police, this may make your employer do something if he gets a criminal record. Report it anyway, if the police do nothing this time at least it's on record if he does this again. P.S. Tell the police what hours he works so they know where to find him. Who knows, him getting carted off by the police in the middle of his shift won't make him look good. doodlepr0	Not legally no, You could press charges on him, and he could spend some prison time for assault and battery, and depending on his position, the comany might "sack" him to save face and deterr any reports of instability of the company.
