four20tagger	They could tax it, they can find a way to tax anything and we all know that. It was made illegal then because of 2 reasons 1. the country consisted mostly ran by a prude christian society. As soon as a few "good men" said it was a devil drug and ruining our kids everyone thought that. 2. they needed a way to jail the increasing hispanic population. (not a racial quote!) mexicans smoked weed and an easy way to throw them in jail and make the country not want them here is to make MJ illegal and say they're bringing it here. It wont be legalized (as painful as that is to say) in our future becuase right after MJ was made illegal Du Pont a sythetic polyurothane company in germany became a multi-million dollar company. Incase you dont know, polyurothane is the plastic that makes pretty much everything that is not wood, metal, or glass (although they can make a good glass like material). If MJ was made legal that company would quickly become worthless because not only is Cannabis easier and less expensive to grow, harvest, and convert into a usable material it is also 1,000,000 times better (probably slightly overboard:) for the planet. There is over 50,0000 things cannabus can be made into, not to mention the seeds (which are actually the fruit of the plant) are the most complete plant protien known to man, second only to the soy bean. Kind of ironic how they tax something that can so easily kill you, while the government doesn't seize the opportunity to profit off of something so many people take part in. mismindles	Because it makes you stupid! People who use it once is a while are not at much risk, but people who use it regularly are morons. I have experience with an uncle and a brother-in-law and they tell me the same stories over and over because they forgot they just told me an hour ago. My brother-in-law is the absolute dumbest person I know and my uncle is in jail. Pot is also a "gateway" drug. Many people that start with pot move on to other things as time progresses. Core	If you watch the documentary "Grass" they say it basically was made illegal to stop Mexicans from raping white women AKA total propaganda. I honestly think it will be legal soon. The people need it as much as smokers want it. Not only will we get money from taxes, but the black market will shrink due to less demand. I live in Seattle and there's a lot of talk about it. Calculus sucks	Because they dont grow the good stuff here and when we buy it the money we spend isnt being circulated and is being taken out of the country so it hurts the economy. Much like alcohol it would need to be an age restricted substance, but since you can grow it so easily at home it would be out of control. That's why making your own high proof alcohol is illegal.
