Plea bargains, parole, and the comparatively cushy prisons where the only hardship criminals face is that which they inflict on each other.

Thompson and Venebles were living on a run down council estate, being dragged up by inadequate parents who shouldn't have been allowed to have children in the first place. Their lives were going nowhere.
Committing the torture and murder of James Bulger took them out of that environment. They have been rewarded for what they have done.
I feel sorry for any young woman who may have slept with either of those two, not realising who they are. Should they ever find out, they should sue the ar$e off the State.

As horrific as this crime was, it's very difficult to hold the actions of 10 year-olds to the same standard as you would an adult.
One of the things you have to remember about a justice system is that it's supposed to apply the laws, not bow to public opinion. I'm sure there isn't a large collection of case law on punishment for 10 year-old murders. And the law may not have been perfectly clear on how to handle them - who contemplates such acts when writing laws. But I do think it was wrong for the a government official to step in and impose a stiffer sentence than the courts as a result of public pressure.

Probably the majority of the law abiding Nation share your anger, I do.
We live in a society where the needs of minorities are imposed on the majority by the PC brigade.
The Government does not care because as long as these injustices draw fire away from their incompetence.
Our jails are full, and the judiciary grant bail in the hope that the offender will abscond, avoid trial, conviction and sentence. Even serious offenders are walking amongst us because of the deriliction of law and order.
The Government attempts to fire fight the situation, running round like headless chickens after the event, picking up the pieces and fiddling the figures.

this pc gone mad, those 2 should never have been released
what they did,was calculated, and that makes them more dangerous, but no hand wringing liberals, who made sure hanging was done away with
middle class witches sitting ,and making discusion groups like etnic awareness etc
so maybe justice will descend on them in adulthood
a good stiff kicking twice a day

Build a bridge!!! No amount of you ranting and raving is going to bring those two to the justice they deserve.
By the way, I would like to ask 'what the hell is wrong with OUR education system when so many people continually use the word 'are' instead of 'our' in sentences?
