what are the rules for secret filming?

I have evidence on video of a person in a professional status making slanderous remarks against me and I want to use this video as evidence in an official complaint but it was filmed in secret, can the video be used or will I be prosecuted for making the video??

2009-02-26 20:36:08 +0000	If it was recorded somewhere where a person could be expected to be recorded (such as a radio station, or somewhere with CCTV) then it could be argued that they had an expectation that they might be recorded. If it was in their office or somewhere like that then they would have no reason to imagine they could be filmed then it is difficult to see how you can use it in evidence.
