All infants must be put in infant seats. When they reach the age of 1 years old, they must use a toddlers seat. When they reach the age of 4 years old, they must use a booster seat until they reach the weight of 70 pounds. Then they can just use the seat belts in the vehicle.

All 50 states and the District of Columbia have child restraint laws. Child restraint laws require children to travel in approved child restraint devices, and some permit or require older children to use adult safety belts. The age at which belts can be used instead of child restraints differs among the states. Young children usually are covered by child restraint laws, while safety belt laws cover older children and adults.

You can try getting in touch with your local police department and/or traffic office to inquire about the requirements for child restraints if your vehicle is a truck.

Contact the insurance provider for the truck they will be more than happy to help you follow the law. They do know that junior rides around with you right? Let them know to make sure your covered if something happens.

There are no special laws regarding infants in trucks. You have to follow the same laws as you would in a car. Remember, those laws will change from state to state, so if your hubby drives interstate, you will need to check the laws in each state you drive through.
