The CPS have refused to prosecute a 14 year-old boy who shot a girl with an air rifle, should we shoot them?

Bill Bow	Disgraceful. In my nation- he would be in a noose and his parents sued to be made to pay her health costs. Your country has lost its 'bollocks'= you must reclaim them and stop being distracted by the whims of the bourgoisie moral masturbator class like Burma- it is a non-issue and a riot about cooking fuel prices- the SLORC fuel subsidy was anulled. BETTY D	This kind of message gives mindless teenagers the green light to do what they want. It's about time the punishments fitted the crimes. We are reaping what has been sown for being too soft on young offenders. It is only by being strict with them that they will realise that crime is not a laugh, and will have serious consequences. Hello	Air RIFLE in the EYE? He tried to kill her, no doubt about it. An air PISTOL in the body could be classed as an accident, I myself have been shot by accident in the body. I have also been shot in the head with an air rifle, and that was intended... but we were messing around and it was from 2 fields away so it just tore a hole in my scalp. RONALD C	The CPS does seem to fail or refuse to take some cases. In my opinion the CPS does need an overhaul, reformed and made, by law, to stand up and be counted. The public in the UK is more than a little fed up with the CPS and the time it takes to bring to court as well as the police who I am sure more than a little P..... off at them. The law of the land is for everyone and that law must be applied in all cases...under 14 or not because in this case we are talking about a firearms offence, injury and even attempted murder. madnotme	We should sack them along with the judges who show sympathy to paedophiles (why's that then one has to wonder!). Joan K	It's a disgrace. The CPS are made up of third rate lawyers who haven't a clue what they are doing. After a 28 month investigation by the Police in to an undertaker forging signatures on cremation documents they said that there wasn't enough evidence. This is despite the fact that there were hundreds of documents containing forged signatures. The Police Officer involved was gutted and little wonder. They are a bunch of morons. NORMAN W	The CPS are a law unto themselves. I was a Police Officer from 1962 and in those days the Police looked after their own cases and unless the evidence was so thin that a conviction was impossible, the maxim was - "Let the Magistrates decide".
