Yesterday where I live, the temperature was 95 degrees, and the day before that was the same, yet the school refused to turn on the A/C. Two of our surrounding school districts had the same problem, and had emergency early dismissles. Our school meanwhile, did not.

Because the temperature in some clasrooms was recorded over 100, we students felt that the only thing we could do was protest. During the break between period 4-5, we student gathered in the main lobby of the school, and began protesting.

I had been capturing the whole thing on my videocamera, until I was told to put it away. I complied, but took out my cellphone to use its camera to continue recording.

The school eventually called the police, and upon entering the school, wit DOGS!, the police confiscated my cellphone, and told me I was not allowed to film on school grounds, even though I had read all of the school rules and laws regarding recording, and there is nothing preventing it.

the officer, and saw that my phone had been given to a security guard, and then to the Vice Principle. I asked the vice princaple to give me my phone back, politely mind you, and she said I could have it back at the end of the day.

I went to the office at the end of the school day, and recieve my phone, but upon going to view my videos, they were all deleted.

So, here's my question:

Is it illegas to have your personal property siezed without probable cause or a warrant, and then have your personal property examined and destroyed, all without your permission?
