Is Racial profiling sometimes, never, or always ok?

If you are an officer on the southern border and you are looking for illegal immigrants, then the most obvious element to stop and make inquiries about are Hispanics. If you are the same border guard and you are looking for drug traffickers, then you would want to stop and question anyone who is suspicious. If you are doing airport security and you have the knowledge that 99% of all terrorist acts are committed by a group who fit a certain profile, well, I will pay a little more attention to them than to some 80 year old Asian woman in a wheelchair. In my opinion I don't think that any of us is guilt free when it comes to racial profiling. Ask yourself -- if you are getting ready to board a plane and you seen a group of men speaking a foreign language, dressed in a manner in which you have see terrorists dressed on televised news programs, and seeming just a little bit out of sorts, wouldn't you get just a little bit "tense?" If you are having trouble with cross burnings in the south you are not going to look that closely at the local black population or if you are trying to stop drug dealers in East Saint Louis, Il then you won't need to wast the time looking at white people. For instance, according to the FBI, 33% of all blacks in America are currently in the criminal justice system; that is either in jail, prison, parole or probation.
