Being illegals will make the difference I would think as all gov avenues may be closed to them, I think I would have to report their employer as no one should be treated like this. Mark T	Call the local Better Business Bureau and then your state labor/unemployment office/board, They can advise as to what can be done. Those whom have had legitimate monies held back can file leins against the employer which makes it impossible for him to get loans or financing for his business. Was this answer helpful to you? If they weren't breaking several laws and social conventions they would be able to report the guy but now they have no standing. the only way to help them and the rest of the American work force is get them legal. Lisa E	Show them how to get to the immigration office to apply for a Visa. Seriously...the employer is a jerk, but how are these people paying taxes when they're illegal? To my knowledge, a tax ID goes with a Social Security Number, which means (unless I'm wrong)...they are using stolen ID's, which will end up completely SCREWING the people they really belong to, when it comes to tax time and they're being audited for not claiming earnings...which they never even knew they WERE earning. REPORT the employer though, because he's not only treating them badly, but he would get what he deserves just for employing them to begin with. It's a catch .22 situation. If you bust him out, you bust them out too. I don't mean to sound nasty, but REALITY is that if you're illegal and working here, you're not entitled to the protections that legals are. I know it stinks to see him treat these people badly, but they KNEW they had no legal leg to stand on when they took that job. This is the kind of thing that happens.
