It is very important to hire someone that fits in with the other employees and does their job. If they don't, this could lead to resentment from employees that have been with the company for a very long time. You will be paid for your time in, but the 2-weeks pay is mostly associated with a severence package. Most have to work with a company for a substantial period of time before qualifying for a 2 week paycheck. More than likely you won't get it. Sorry for your hard luck, and good luck on the future! If you were on probation you are not entitled to any pay. They can fire you without notice and without any good reason. You are probably better off not working for a bunch of losers. You may find that some of your behaviors are inappropriate for the job site. You may also find a sympathetic ear and it is possible they may find a place for you. If not the education will be well worth the questions. Do not get an attitude listen ask questions and learn from the experience. With retail it is usually 90 days, some companies (accounting for instance) give you up to one year. Also, you are only entitled to compensation if your rights are violated regarding union dues or membership.
