Just by asking this, it's obvious you know what the right thing to do is. If you hired someone and paid them to work, what would you think if they just called and said "hey, I'm not coming in to work" but giving no reason?

Just say your sick if you don't want to tell the truth.

The fact that you ask the question suggests that you are unable to report to work on a consistent basis. Forgetting both you and the employer, the rest of the workforce are demoralized by your actions. If you have a serious medical condition, you should consider applying for a disablity check via the Social Security Administration.

You have the right to privacy. You are not required to give a reason.
If you are sick, say so. If you are "sick of work", just say you are sick.

You have to say if you are sick in most places but you don't have to say what your illness is.

Yes, and besides, it's better if you do, so he/she doesn't think you're just lazy and don't want to work that day(even if that's the truth).

Not legally.
However, and employer has the right to know:
How long you will be out
Are you sick, and is it contagious
If personal, will more time be needed

It's just best to be honest without giving too much information.
