Can an illegal immigrant take someone to court in the state of washington?

I know for sure the guy has no papers and is working somewhere in seattle. He speaks no english and is trying to take me to court. can he do that?
Additional Details
the man thinks i keyed his car.. he has no witnesses, and he put an order of protection against me. I said some things to him , but i was mad. the man was with my wife during our marriage. and comes around my kids without my knowledge. so of course i get angry when i see him. my wife and i are separated, and have been for 2 years now.

take you to court for what?
so you don't deny keying his car, you just claim there are no witnesses. Who cares if he is seeing your "wife", you aren't together anyway. Get a divorce and move on with your life.

Get him to agree in writing (you write something up) that he will accept cash payments from you in order for him to pay for the keyed up car. Tell him to get some estimates. The reason you want to get him to agree that he will accept cash is don't pay him anything and then when he claims you haven't paid him, say you did. You gave him cash. With a check you can track it, etc. This way your defense will be that you paid him cash, just like his signature agreed to accept. And he will have a hard time if he does take a lawsuit against you (small claims lawsuit MIND YOU) he won't have any evidence.
