A lesson you will learn, Live with morals and ethics and you'll never get into this bad situation again! Sorry, but you're in trouble, but it's not worth running from. Face it, admit it, but make sure they know you were joking. Other than that, just grin and bear it ... it'll be okay.

police don't take this as a joke. they take it very very seriously. you will get in trouble if your friend press charges. maybe you should of thought about it before you made those txts.

I'd call the probation officer myself, and tell him what has happened, and that you realize too late that it was a very stupid thing to do, and to give him your word that it won't happen again. Before you admit to anything, ask him off the record.
If in a worse case scenario you are arrested, ask the judge, through your attorney, if you can get the record expunged because you realize the severity of the problem, and that you realize it was a stupid thing to do. By being remorseful and humble, it might save your permanent record, although there'll always be a record of you being arrested. Make sure that your attorney works with you to help you get the record totally expunged.
Good luck, and it's good that you've learned. I'd also be more careful about my friends. If you have people on probation and parole, it won't look good on your admission applications for school. Also, if you're a minor when this incident happened, there's a higher chance it will automatically be stopped. You'll probably end up doing some community service, and paying for court costs and attorney fees.
