T-Mobile and Identity Fraud?

Hello all,
I am another victim of identity fraud in the UK. I am a subscriber in T-Mobile at a 30-day rolling contract, with no intention to upgrade. However, I received a text saying that my order has been processed, a new Nokia N96 was sent to my address and that I migrated to Flext 50.!
I called T-Mobile Customer Care and they said that I was the person who called for the upgrade! They entered to my account without any verification of neither my secret password, memorable word or my mother's maiden name! The phone was delivered at a particular address, which has nothing to do with me!
I went to the local Police Station and declared the incident and they gave me a crime number. What should I do next? Could you advise me, please? I have found out that T-Mobile's verification system is full of holes. Why don't they protect their customers' personal information?
Any comment/suggestion will be highly appreciated.

It doesn't work like that, mate. They do not recognise their mistake. They ask for cancellation charges as they claim that they have followed legal common practice.

In most Western countries in law there is no such thing as an Oral Contract,tell them to sling it.Citizens Advice are good in this type of case.

Surely they need a signature to have a contract with you....
I'd ask T-mobile to put your account back how it should be and let them find out who's nicked their phone..... not your problem if they're sending out free phones - just make sure they know it wasn't you.

You need to contact t mobile with the crime number and refuse to make any payments. They delivered a phone to somewhere other than your address, they are somewhat responsible. They have no followed legal practice, do they have your signature? Who lives at the house it was delivered to?
