Speeding Ticket Dismissal in Texas.?

What are the chances i will get my speeding ticket that i received in Waxahachie, Tx dismissed? I know if DFW if you take it to court 99% of the time the cop won't show up and it gets dismissed, but does that also work in Ellis county (waxahachie). Any advice is helpful.

Well, whether Waxahachie PD, Ellis County Constable or Sheriff's Office, the first person had it right:the smaller the city/town/county in Texas, the higher the probability the constable/deputy sheriff/PD officer WILL show up and try to brainwash/threaten the judge into NOT dismissing the ticket...it's worse if you're from another state!

It doesn't matter if the cop doesn't show up, for the 92231st time, they JUST RESCHEDULE if he's not there. They don't want to give up your money simply because the cop got help up for some reason. I wish the idiots passing off this bad myth would stop.
You're not getting out of the ticket. End of story.

It has been my experience that the smaller the town, the more likely the officer will show to court. If this is just one ticket, I would suggest taking defensive driving which will in effect dismiss the ticket as well.

The town only has a population of 21,000 and a police department of 67, the chances of that officer not showing up is slim to none. He or she will be there, you can count on that, and if it is overtime, then that only increases the fact the officer will show
