Question about cop questioning a minor...?

Can a cop call a minor's personal cell phone and ask them in for questioning? And do I have the right to refuse to come into the station? What happens if they DO question me without my parents? Can I get a lawyer and take their *** to court?..

It might not be good taste to just contact someone your age through your cell, but no it's not illegal for them to do so. You have the right to refuse coming in. They have the right to show up at your door, and they will if it's something serious. I'll give you some advice right now, never try to make smart alec remarks towards a police officer, it won't get you anywhere. If you find yourself facing accusations, don't hesitate to ask for an attorney.
There's also a possibility that the call was just a prank call, someone impersonating a police officer. To be safe, never accept to be interviewed through the phone. No matter how genuine they sound.

The answer to that will vary greatly on the reason for the questioning, i/e if you are a suspect in a crime or if you are a potential witness to a crime. The potential variations are almost endless, no two would be the same.

if they're questioning u with out ur parents, u dont have to talk to them. they cant take u to court without ur parents.

Rule #1 dont answer a police officers questions without your attorney. Whatever you say to them they can use in court against you. So, that being said say it in a respectful manner that you would like to have your attorney present before answering any questions
