Possible Penalty for walking onto a railroad?
I recently visited Flagstaff AZ and was seen by a police officer walking onto the railroad there. I was on the rails themselves for a total of about 30 seconds. How bad is it going to get for me?
If you weren't arrested or ticketed I wouldn't worry about it. Police rarely enforce these laws, and sometimes town cops don't even have jurisdiction over railroad rights of way.
It is trespassing on private property, it belongs to the railroad. I am assuming that you received a citation of some sort, call the court and ask what the fine is.
