2010-04-09 22:35:20 +0000	Well, I'm not a lawyer so can't give legal advice, but I can present you with options or choices that I am aware of and let you decide for yourself which one may best suit your needs. To my knowledge, you can do several things; but be clear that you DO NOT want to "get back" at anyone or you will not be helped. I'm taking for granted here that you don't mean you literally want to get revenge on someone or some organization, and that you are seeking justice rather than revenge. Let's be clear on that first. Ok.Now here are some options: You can call your local police force's internal affairs division. They may accept your case for review or blow it off completely. It depends upon your area and how that division's IA is run and by whom. Couldn't hurt to ask them to review the matter if have legal documentation to support your claims. Next up, you can contact your local Mayor's office. They'll probably be too scared to do anything, but it's worth a try. You can also contact your state's attorney general and ask for a formal investigation into the matter. Not a bad idea, with more pros than cons. All they can do is turn it down. You can also contact the Dept. of Justice Attorney General, Eric Holder at (202) 514-2001. Just like in the military you'll be told (or should be told) that they expect you go through the "chain of command" structure. That is, once you've tried everything you can within your local and then state jurisdiction, then take it to higher, federal levels. Something tells me if you file official complaints with the proper organizations I mentioned here, first going to local levels, then state levels, and then federal levels, at some point someone will take the matter seriously enough to a) fully investigate your claims and ask for some substantiating paperwork (i.e. proof of your claims) and then b) follow-up with action. Good luck and remember to pursue fair justice with persistence but also calm-headed logic and reason. If you lose your cool or want to "get back" at people, you'll just end up angering and frustrating more people including yourself and the justice you claim to truly want to see won't appear.
