From what I read, those mistakes are not going to help dismiss your case. Regardless of whether you were male or female, you violated the law. As long as they have all of your other information correct, that one mistake is not enough to not prove it was not you.

Nope, not going to get the ticket dismissed. Simple errors like that do not get your ticket thrown out.
Go to court, maybe the officer will not show. In most cases, the judge will toss the ticket.
If the officer shows, plead guilty with explanation. Make it good, short and true and ask for mercy. That you can't afford higher insurance rates. The judge is not under any obligation to change anything, but many will convert it to a non-moving violation. You'll have to pay the fine, but it won't show on your record.

Clerical errors like that are simple for the officer or the prosecutor to handle in court. They simply request to amend the complaint (your ticket is your copy of the complaint).
Happens all the time with gender, make of car and mostly date.
Bottom line it won't help you get out of the ticket.
See if your state has a by pass or training option. You plead guilty. pay the fine then pay for a class you must attend on good driving. Those usually do not get placed on your record so no insurance problems.

Maybe he made a mistake. Given him the benifit of the doubt! For the points on your record, the officer should have given you the option of going to a DMV office to take a class, which takes about 6 hours total, and you will not receive any points.

I would suggest that you speak with the city attorney/asst. D.A. on the day of your arraignment when you go to make a plea of guilty or not guilty. Don't even think of trying to play the sexual discrimination card, it will do more harm than good. Simply explain that you would like to avoid an increase to your insurance. If the violation you got was a moving violation speeding, running a stop sign, etc. it could possibly be plead down to a non-moving violation which will not effect your insurance. Their may be other options depending on your driving record "good or bad" but this will be explained to you by a representative of the court just take the time to speak with this person.

you can always try to report that in court that the officer incorrectly wrote down your info and see if you can get out of paying your violation

do a cost-benefit analysis. on the one hand a lawyer could drag this out and win. but it might cost much more than it is worth. may largely
depend on the nature of your offense, which you did not mention!

Tell the court you need a compensation for the mental trouble. Demand five times more than what the violation bill is.

Well can you be mistaken for a man if you're a woman, or a woman if you are a man? Not really, maybe the cop didn't know. Anyway, if you know you deserve the ticket. Don't be a jerk, Man up.
