$100 in Mass. If it is within a road construction site, they will get you double or $200. It goes on your RMV driving record, where it stays for 5 years. You may later receive a premium surcharge fom the insurance company when your moving violations exceed a certain number of points. Switching insurances will not help, because everyone verifies the same database.

In Minnesota, from 1-10 MPH over (including court costs) is $120, 11-14 over is $130, 15-19 over is $140, 20-25 over is $280, 26-30 over is $310, and 31 or more MPH over the limit is $360. Also, the last 3 are mandatory court (you can't just pay the fine, you must go to court). Minnesota also has a mandatory license suspension if you are convicted of 100+ MPH. I work in a jail, and have seen some people sentenced to jail time for driving over 100 MPH plus the fines.
