Saphira	I have a father who has never really supported me or my sisters. But I do not think they should make a law that mandates a vasectomy. That is like trying to say that women who keep having babies should be forced to get her tubes tied. That is like harsh population control and never should the government have that right. Elana	The law has, quite rightly, been extremely squeamish about performing "final" operations on people for their crimes. The most obvious case, of course, is the death penalty, which, being irreversible, has caused considerable controversy whenever someone ends up on death row that turns out to not have committed the crime. Mandatory sterilization is only useful if the bad guy cannot undo it himself. I am assuming that you are not being sexist and that you would also apply the appropriate remedy to women who leave their children and skip out on the fathers. Do you really want the state to be able to tell women when they can reproduce? If you can have a woman sterilized for non-payment of child care, how about for BAD child care? That is, neglect, etc. We're getting into a very tricky legal thicket here: Should the state have the ability to determine whether or not a person can reproduce? Legal precedent has said "no", even though with welfare payments, medical care for persons who cannot afford it, etc., the state has an extremely vested interest in the issue. Indeed, you can imagine a society which didn't allow you to reproduce unless you went through an application process with the state, perhaps similar to getting a marriage license. Perhaps getting such a license might required a whole lot more - like paying people off, or being white. Nope, this is not a road you want to travel down. Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No

Soldier82nd	They still wouldn't pay.I am raising my son he is 11 never seen his biological sperm giver.My wife and I were split up for about 9 mos. and she got pregnant by this dude she should have used protection ,but whats done is done.I have him now on my own because my wife passed away recently and there is no way I would give him up to his dead beat sperm Donner.He has paid 20$ in support in 11 ,well in May it will be 12 yrs.A friend told me he is on the run from the law for child support of other children.I don't want his money but he will never see this boy either unless when he becomes of age and wishes to find him.Actually he has told me he has no desire to see him,which is cool I am Dad and he knows it.I love him the same as my other son and he knows that but I agree if you can't take responsibility for your actions snip em.
