How much trouble can i get in for accidentally calling the wrong person a couple times ;assuming it's my friend.
Well i had been calling this number thinking it was my friends house # asking the people there if *sally was home.So whenever they replied back "No,she doesn't live here" I thought they were playing around;thinking it was my friends brother. So whenever i called i'd play along with him and i think they got annoyed so the lady threatened me saying that she would call the cops on me. She never gave me time to explain that it was all just a big misunderstanding.
Even if she did call the cops, you have nothing to worry about unless you have been stalking them. She sounds like a crazy lady. I would wait until the smoke clears and block your # and prank call her some more(just for laughs)
But anyways just stop calling and if they do i doubt the cops would pay any mind. also worst case scenario is u going to court and explannig what happened, which was a misunderstanding. I have ppl call my house everyday asking for some Ms.Colbert and im like wrong number. i believe she over reacted because you didnt threaten her or anything. Just don't call for a week or so call again if they say something just explain yourself.
Just stop calling. You could be coming across as harassing (Im not accusing just looking at it from the ladies point of view). If you stop calling then she wont have any reason to call the cops. I would just leave it alone.
I wouldn't worry about it. The police will tell her to contact the local telephone company and ask that a trap or trace be put on the line. The "trap' on the line records the number calling and the time/date of the call. Generally, unless it is excessive, nothing will happen.
