Prisons are not coed, so no. They would go to separate prisons.

haha I hope not. There is not punishment in the crime if the perps get to cohabit in jail. Divide and destroy then rehabilitate. Damn liberal criminals think its all robinhood and tax the rich BS. They probly want some welfare and social housing to help them out once on the outside again. Makes me sick they have any rights at all.

Being as you are asking this question on YA UK and Ireland then the answer is if by two straight couples its some sort of code for man and woman then no, as there are no mixed prisons in the UK. If the two are married then subject to the governor of the prison“s approval one would be allowed to visit the other at their prison. There are no conjugal visits in the uk. i.e no sex.

no, there are no gender-integrated prisons in the UK and for a good reason. They can have inter-prison visits but these are not private, and they even need governors permission for this and to write to each other

A couple of different answers to questions here. Just for the record, at least in State prisons, any sex is illegal. Homo, hetero or lesbian. Between inmates or inmates/visitors/staff.
There are no co-ed prisons. All prisons are either male or female. A male/female couple would be classed to their respective prisons.
An inmate in one prison is not allowed to visit another inmate in a second prison ( opposite sex) nor are they allow to visit a same sex inmate in their own prison that is housed in another area.
If two inmates are co-defendants in any case, they are automatically given an administrative separation and are allowed NO contact ( this is in case of retrials or appeals).
The basic answer to your question is No, this would not be allowed for many of the reasons above.
I hope this helps and you can find it useful
