I'm 22 years old and I just got into my first car accident EVER!! It was just a small fender bender but the girl whose car i hit may need a new rear bumper because it dented it in a little bit, I'm not sure though. I've been driving since I was 16, no tickets no wrecks before this and I have really good credit. How much do you think my insurance will go up. I have State Farm.

Had State Farm Insurance and never had a claim till Last year on Accident, had it with them for 22 years, total payout from State Farm was $380.00 for repair to other car, my Insurance went up $120.00 for the year because of it. I was paying $5,600.00 a year for Insurance, Cars, Truck, Motorcycle, and Home, pay them nothing now, I cancelled them because I felt that I was mistreated, someone else is getting my money now, by the way it's less money and more coverage. (If you remember the flood in New Orleans, State Farm has still not paid claims.......And That's a Fact.

State Farm is one of the major insurance companies along with Allstate and Farmers. We don't generally like to insure "high risk drivers" Being as you are still under the age of 25 your insurance will increase. I can't tell you how much because I don't know your current premium or any of your information. It also depends on how much money was paid out in the claim.

There are too many specifics needed to be able to accurately answer that. In PA, an accident can't be surcharged unless more than $1350.00 is paid out. Your state may have a limit also. It depends too on what level of accident free discount you have, if you have the steer clear discount, etc. The best person to be able to answer this is your agent. Give their office a call and they should be able to give you an "idea", though you can't hold them to it since they don't have all the details and since they don't create the rates.
