I may have totaled my car (a salvaged title) what amount of cash will i get back?

This guy ran a stop sign and hit my car, a 2001 audi s4. The car was a salvage title i got for about 8 grand, but they can fetch as much as 13 or 14 grand. will i get the amount i payed for it? or something more along the lines of the suggested retail price? help?

You are owed the current market value of the car but beware: a 'rebuilt salvage' vehicle is worth thousands of dollars less than one with a 'clean' title.

More than likely your settlement will be for actual cash value of your vehicle. NOT the price you paid for it, the price you could sell it for were it still in the original condition before the accident. Due to the salvaged title, it probably won't be as much as you're hoping, but you might be able to negotiate with the claims adjuster.
