I have a drivers license in IL and plan on moving to Texas... BUT?
I have a couple of tickets and here in IL if you're 21 and have 4 tickets your license will be suspended and I'm afraid that is going to be my case.. Now, I'm moving to Texas (better economy, etc haha) by January and planning on obtaining a license down there.. now how does this work?
Well Texas will have one of the following systems to run your drivers license info;
NCIC, ACGIS or what ever they call it. this system will show your suspended license status any were you move in the U.S.
You will not be able to get a new D.L. until you make the appropriate arrangements with IL dep. of motor veh.
This info must be shared due to a Federal act of counter terrorism. im not saying you are one but thats the new Federal requirement, that all states have a communication system. hence NCIC.
