Can my father take away a car I've been paying for?

I've answered a few questions that were similar to this one. To answer your question, the loan is in his name, and the car is probably registered in his name, In the eyes of the law, it is his car unless he defaults on the loan. You can try to sue him for the money you have paid into the car. You need to talk to a lawyer, and be prepared to provide bank statements, receipts, etc. to prove that the payments were made with your money. State your position and feelings, and I'd bet he'll do the same. As for trying to sue him, Are you even 18? Being of age is a prerequisite for filing a lawsuit. Good luck!
