Family with british born kids unable to return to UK from Pakistan Holiday on mothers Pakistani passport.?
My friend is a British born citizen with Pakistani parents and has been married to a pakistani women who has a visa and had lived here in Britain for about 4 years. They both have 2 kids that were also born here. Problem is that my friends wife was on a 6 week Holiday home to pakistan for the first time in 4 years to let her family meet her kids for first time and it appears as an oversight she wrongly got the 2 kids put on her own pakistani passport (which you are aloud to do there) but when she tried to return home on sunday she wasn't aloud out f the country. They say the kids should have their own British passports, so now she is stuck there and running out of money and the consulate are saying 3 weeks for an appointment and even then they say its the kids that need the appointment as it is them who have the problem but you need a passport number for an appointment, which they don't have, so they are stuck in a vicious circle. Can any one please hep!!!
Additional Details
I guess the kids should have had their own british passports as they were born here, but somewhere obviously approved it and applied them, further more they were aloud to leave uk and enter pakistan but now cant leave??

If I were in your shoes

Id take them back to the Consulate with their birth certificates and reapply for passports for them.

As long as they were born there it would be easy

If they dont have their birth certificates

They should apply for a new birth certificate and take it in to the Consulate and apply for a new passport

She didn't get the kids put on her Pakistani passport while on vacation for those few weeks. The kids had to have British passports (or at least their own individual passports) to board the plane in the UK for the trip to Pak. It really sounds like some kind of scam is going on here. You had better get some more details and be very careful to check up on everything you are being told. This simply does not add up to be an entirely truthful and accurate scenario.

unfortunately there is nothing she can do, but wait to get the passports for the children.she needs to get the appointment .
children are no longer allowed to travel on parent's passport, perhaps for Pakistan, but not for the UK, and most other countries.

ps:
where is the father? does she have birth certificates for the children with her?if not? it is going to be more time to wait.
i do not know if she will be able to apply without both signatures?

dont have much sympathy im afraid, the pakistani community of the uk really needs to make its mind up where it actually calls 'home'. Are we their home or just a long term money making holiday? The total lack of intergration would suggest the latter.
