Yes, but is it worth the hassle, you will need to send you fathers birth cert. etc. I saw the application fees in my daily Irish paper yesterday. Standard passport fees aged 18-64 = 80euro 5year passport for child aged 3 to 17 = 26.50 euro. Child under 3 = 16 euro.

Yes Sagelady is correct. If a parent was born in the Irish republic the offspring are entitled to an Irish passport.

You could check their web page its www.dfa.ie but I'm pretty sure she can get one.
Not sure of the age of your child, if she's under 3yrs then its E15 aged 3 - 17yrs then E25. Prices increase on 1 Feb. British childs passport is £46

Since you're Dad is a Irish national you are as well, and hence your daughter is. But have you ever registered as an Irish national? If not you could run into problems.

By the way you are only saving like 15 euros..or 20 dollars is it worth it mate?

Cheers

Chosen Man
Yes you can.
The Irish Passport Office in London will supply you with the forms you need to claim via an Irish Grandparent.
It would probably make more sense for you to claim Irish Nationality first, and then claim for your children - it would certainly be easier.

Contact:
Embassy of Ireland,
Passport and Visa Office,
Montpelier House,
106 Brompton Road,
London SW3 1JJ

tel: 0207 225 7700 fax: 0207 225 7777

They are very nice and helpful.
