You can not have it unsealed the only one who can look into the sealed file is your son. And he can only do that if he is of age.

oh how terrible. i cant imagine what you are going through. I would start with the adoption agency that handled everything however i have heard that they are very strict about releasing information once you sign on the dotted line. Your best bet will be to hire a private detective to track your son down.

I really feel for ya. But, you made your decision so let him be if he is under 18. If he is older then hire an attorney to open the records or get access to them. I believe what they do in that case is they will contact the child if possible and then let him know that you would like to meet him. If you can't get the info thru the courts or they won't contact him then you are left to hire a PI and find him on your own. But, please don't do it until after he is 18 as it can be devastating to anyone over 18 and you can really mess a kid up if under 18. Good Luck.

im adopted and went thro hell gettin records. tx will not open records but some states u can call and get the info easy. different states different rules. i finally had to go thro the adoption agency but no body will do n e thing till he 18, and also he might not know
