Where's that pesky fraggle?
What kind of tool leaves their sat nav in the car?
I had forensic officers out examining my car last night (it was broken into on boxing day - rapid response time eh??)

They were telling me about how many people leave their sat nav's etc under the seat/ in the glove box!

They also gave me a tip (not that I have a sat nav!) not to even leave the cradle for a sat nav on show and if there are sucker marks on the window - remove them!

Honestly though would you leave your sat nav in the car??
Additional Details
The local officers were telling me the local statistics based on the crimes they attend and what has been stolen. I somehow doubt they watch CSI since they were on a late turn and examining my car late last night.

Just because YOU live in a high-crime area, don't pin that crap on the rest of us.

My SatNav is sitting on my desk right now, but only because the truck I was using it in was recently sold. Before that, it was mounted on top of the instrument panel in plain view for over three years, and I never had a problem. When my next truck is ready to go to work, I will put it back in the truck and leave it there.

I don't think to many people would leave them in car personally. Sounds like your local officers where reading way to much into this, they need to watch some more CSI.

My friend leaves her under the drivers seat. She's never used it coz she's so useless she can't figure it out. Doesn't matter how many times you tell her it's unsafe, it's still sat there. I wouldn't even leave a packet of tissues in the car in this day and age.

I just got my GPS and have removed it from my truck everytime I have been home. I also remove my satellite radio. This won't stop anyone from breaking into my truck but at least they won't steal those two items! As for home, the car is in the garage, the pickup doesn't have anything to steal in it, and my neighbor is a State Police Officer! Thieves that are too lazy to get a job and earn their money will steal anything they think they can sell. It is a shame we can't let our doors unlocked.
