Is there a law for how many hours you can drive a semi in BC. Does the time include non driving time as well?

I don't have a log book but yes , there's a law on how many hours you can drive. It depends on what type of schedule you place yourself in. I used to remember the particulars but I don't any more.

The law includes on-duty time. Which means if you are pre-tripping your vehicle or fixing something or loading cargo or strapping loads down , that counts toward "on-duty" I think only when you are absolutely not working can count toward "off duty"

So yeah , there's a law here in BC regarding how much time you spend "driving" and "on duty" and only your "off duty" time counts as rest.
