Two Lane. 455 Rocket.	My '01 Lincoln Town Car start's a 'bing' sound if you leave the turn signal on too long. I've noticed it's old people proof since that's usually who buy's them supposedly. If you pull it down into l1st gear and floor it, it shift's into second by itself. Old people proof. Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No

Texas Underdog	That would be just another "dumbing down" gadget for drivers (that could, and would malfunction). What is needed is better driver education, and better driver awareness to what is happening around them - both inside and outside of their vehicle. thatoneguy247	On many European cars, you can flick the turning signal and it will only click three times. I think the problem that you're talking about is a user error, which isn't really a problem with the turning signal. Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No

Larry G	Harley davidson already done this .. The turn signals sense speed and if you are up to speed and use the turn signal it will blink for about fifteen seconds .. sitting at a light it will blink forever ..they also have four way flashers too just hit both turn signal buttons at once and you have the four ways Was this answer helpful to you? Mathwhiz	Some cars do have a feature where if you leave the blinker on too long it sets off the seat belt chime. I had this "feature" in a 92 plymouth voyager... Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No

sgoldperson	MOST turns will cause you to turn the wheel enough that you shut the turn signal off. To be honest you get a lot more chances of having to turn the thing off when A) you are switching lanes or B) the road turns but you don't. Personally I find that second case far more annoying. Why should the road go off on one route and there is a straight line there but that line is the turn? I mean yeah fine if you are going in to a parking lot, but annoying when you are going on a road. mustanger	Maybe if they put a timer on there that activated the same annoying "dinger" that comes on when my wife disconnects her seat belt before I shut the engine off. Couple it with a ball bat that comes down and strikes them in the head and maybe, just maybe, it might get their attention. Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No

king_davis13	The funny part is that on most cars and trucks that have been built since 1995 there is a beeper that starts beeping in the car after 80 to 90 flashes of the turn signal so the poor old guy was probably trying to figure out if he was going to run out of gas or something. LOL. Sad part is he probably could not hear it though but it is fun to think about. I let my car flash that long one time just to see if my car did it and it is the same chime that the door makes. Evgeni	"After following a car for about fifty miles on the interstate that had the right turn signal flashing" That driver was an idiot! That's a driver that doesn't look at instruments. It's not like it's hard to do. If they have that much trouble, they shouldn't be driving. Automatic signals are a bad idea. Drivers are supposed to look at their instruments. If they now have an automatic signal, it would make things easier for bad drivers to start bad habits. We need to stop making things easier for bad drivers. If a driver that can't do something as simple as turn of a blinking light, that person shouldn't be driving, or at least get a ticket for that. Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No
