They don't know what the brotherhood and the comraderie being in a military force. Best of all, you made the decision for you and because you are under oath to protect the constitution and the freedom of those who are in the country. gamerguy86	i don't know that people hate them, but sometimes i do think to myself that this or that dude has no neck or is immature. i know some people will say that "oh, they are so mature", but seems like in the military (i know quite a few marines) a lot of guys act like adolescents (not sure how to elaborate on this). plus some people think that the current war in iraq isn't about our freedom and i'm inclined to agree. its been proven that iraq didn't pose any threat to us. they had no plans to attack us and didn't support anyone that did. afghanistan is a different issue. the taliban were a threat and are on the rise. i know i kinda turned this into something else, but anyways good luck and take care. retired military wife	I was a Marine wife for 14 years. I tried to enlist but physical issues kept me from joining. I can't aim and shoot a rifle properly, for one thing. I was luckier than my sister, her physical issues turned into Multiple Sclerosis. So count me as one person who doesn't hate Marines. Hippy, get over yourself. Was this answer helpful to you? scp98k	I don't hate Marines. When I was in the Army we used them regularly to find things like bombs and snipers. They are also very useful in finding the enemy so I could get the coordinates to drop mortars. Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No

b123153h	I am ex army and we argued with each other but we never hated each other, nothing like seeing a jar head come save your stupid a** when the stuff hits the Fan, Not all are killers but all in any military are trained to kill, ruthless if necessary but only when forced into a corner with a few exceptions.
