ChicagoScottTea	No romantic comedy is anything like a real relationship and no war movie is anything like war... to think you could convey the grand and unfathomable spectrum of the experince of combat into a movie is sincerely foolish. When you've watched explosions on TV did you ever imagine that the concusion could make you skip a breath and rattle your torso... that the sound of a fighter jet passing by at supersonic speed can make your legs weak or that the sound of an incoming mortor convinces you everytime witout doubt that it's headed to the exact place you stand... Peggy	I watched Dam Busters the other day with my kids and we all loved it. I particularly like the understated way things are portrayed - ie, the way the men came back from the mission and just collapsed on their beds without saying a word spoke volumes. alison b	this going away from the subject but jon has annoyed me, this happy breed, about a family in the blitz in london and strangley enough good morning vietnam, we were the first in the vietnam war first out we knew it was not a winner yanks have never won a war without the brits, oh dear its a going away from the point again. Pleasant Peter Perkins	My personal choice is 'The Deerhunter'. It gave me an insight into how war might have affected me and the people I grew up with if I had been involved in a war. I thought it was powerful, scary and stretched the living experience...a bit like war I guess? PS...Schindlers List was NOT a war film...It just happened to take place during a war!
