Well Vix..it's pathetic. These type of people get on-line tell lies that they are this and done that. The funny thing is that it's like you said...*no proof* and people believe them. In the beginning we have no reason to not believe them. But as time goes on, what's done in the dark...will come out in the light. Then when they are found out, they start the game over and over again. It's a vicious cycle. They are lonely people and want attention no matter at what costs. I look at it this way, if no one knows the person in real life....he could be a false on-line jerk.

Come on he was hit by a humvee, I mean this can't be proven, but maybe it was a ghost humvee yea that's it. Cofidentially, I think it was some bros that he pissed by dropping N bombs so they got in a hummer and ran him down. That's just my theory though.

I think that at least half of his lies should be made to come true. Shoot him!
Scum like that deserve to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Unfortunately, the laws against this type of crime are low grade misdemeanors. Although it does get stiffer when they start wearing military awards that they did not earn. The Medal of Honor being the worst thing that they could do.

I think that is quite an elaborate lie. The person is quite fake and there really isn't an excuse for lying this way.

I think that they have some severe self confidence issues and have a very strong need for attention. The lie is only half the story. The other half is what is is causing the need to lie.
And that's true of anyone who lies.

They are just looking to be admired and accepted by others since they can't get it any other way other than to lie.
This is sad indeed for those who resort to this for affection.

He probably is lacking in ''other departments'' so he feels he has to make up lies. Personally, I think people like that should be punched in the face.

I think it's sick!
There's people out there who go to war to protect their country. They are risking their lives to protect people and fight for what they believe in and then some moron wants to lie about being wounded when they never have been.
There's people who have been wounded and can never return to a normal life. They can't go back to work, they can't do things that every day people do, it's sad.
So yeah, if anyone lies about that it's just flat out sad.

I feel it is perjury beyond perjury. The only difference between a military person and a fireman and a policeman is that the military person is more likely to go overseas. When I see pictures of people describing war experiences, wearing medals, and being next to those who were mortally wounded; I feel that that person has committed treason. But, in the end; people like that are just looking for two things. Glory and recognition.

Because society accords such people respect.
The bigger the lie, the more likely people will accept it at face value.
P.S. If you have information on the guy, I can probably out him :)

Being a non combat injured VietNam Veteran who had two uncles held prisoner of war by the Japanese in WWII, one captured at Corregidor later transferred to Japan until the end of the war, captured at the age of 18 and one in the infamous BATAAN DEATH March who also survived, I think these people are horrendous to make such a claim. I have the utmost respect for my fellow military members who have been injured in combat and hope they receive the care they are entitled to.
When someone take this type of character they are looking for attention hoping to get someone to feel sorry for them. If you know of someone like this, contact the VFW or American Legion, there are people who are investigating these type of people and they usually expose them publicly. I'm not sure the veterans organizations have any information on this type of work but they might.
If the individual is using this guise to gain any benefits, they can be subject to criminal prosecution for fraud against the government.
The main thing is if you can prove them wrong, let other people know, it will eventually get the person to either quit their charade or be very careful how they operate. Also if they are wearing military uniform items or insignia, they are in violation of Federal Laws. It is illegal for non-military inviduals to wear either military clothing or articles of military insignia. I can't even wear my uniform except for special occasions and I am retired Navy.
