RLP	America is the most giving compassionate country in the world. President Bush is a brilliant leader who gets very bad press in Europe (they quote our stupid liberals all the time over there, and not our sane conservatives...we were just there) Our administration SHOULD stop helping all the countries that bash us - THEN see where you would be!!! loreric	You know, one of the weird things about Iran is that everyone there is supposed to hate USA and still everyone has a relative in the USA and most people want to go to the USA. Most hate you because they want what you have and can't have it on their terms and the rest just want what you have but don't want to leave the security of what they grew up with which they would have to leave to get it, both physically and mentally. electricpole	it seems from other comments here and elsewhere that President Bush is a lightning rod for anything bad ( that is anything that some people don't LIKE ) for the last 100+yrs. Is he that bad? (I don't like him by the way). What kind of a narrow minded morons are people to believe that he is that powerful in the first place. Especially to reach back into history? People hate Americans because: Jealousy, pure & simple. We are SO HORRIBLE of a nation that everybody is trying to get in! Where is the rush to immigrate to Iran or the Sudan, etc.? Anywhere we are not wanted or dispised, we should pull our BILLIONS upon BILLIONS upon BILLIONS of dollars in aid, and keep it to ouselves. Don't bite the hand that feeds you.and clothes you. Why so many Americans hate the US internally? They have never had to earn an ounce of their liberties, and freedoms and therfore take them for granted. They lack perspective to act repsonsibley to use them wisely and preserve them. The minute that some small desire is unfulfilled by the government, it is the ultimate insult and a crime agaisnt their freedom. (The are just spoiled kids in adult bodies). Naples_6	You say you wouldn't kill your neighbor just because you don't like him or her, but I'll bet you would kill them if you knew they were going to kill you or one of your family members. And that is the thing about terrorist, they are a threat to everyone. Their whole mission in life is to kill, and ignoring them isn't going to make them go away. They were ignored after the first attempt on the World Trade Center in1993. They were ignored again after the suicide bombing of the USS Cole in October of 2000, and less then a year later, they pulled off 9/11. And if nothing is done, the terrorist will pull off something else that will cause more destruction and deaths. Each attack was a little worse then the one that came before it, so I cringe to think of what could happen with their next big plan if they're not stopped. If you hate America, then why stay? You have the choice to leave. If you think there is a country that can offer you more, then you should move there. Why continue living in the States if you're so miserable? People need to accept that President Bush isn't going to stop his fight of terrorism, and he isn't going to pull our troops out of Iraq until he is ready, or until his time in the White House is up. I dont agree with sending our troops to fight in some countries, because it is sad how many lives we have lost, trying to help other entities. Elana	The thing is ... many non Americans love Americans and have the utmost respect for them. At this point, far fewer of them have the utmost respect for our government, but most realize that they aren't the same thing. We did more to WIN the war on terrorism by helping victims of the tsunamis and earthquakes than all of our activities in Iraq put together. Many people think of the United States as the "can do" nation and admire us for not being mired in the muck of tribal, religious and class emnities. hey	i agree with Girl360's.. i do not hate america, i am just dissapointed in how it is ran.. corporations run this country, not a government. everything is about YOUR MONEY.. and everyone wants your money..products are made cheaply, scams by businesses are everywhere.. i never shop at WALMART.. and i have a veggie car... i get my fuel for free, filter it, and pay about 5 dollars every two weeks for gas.. its horrible when the government makes laws according to corporations, and that they are decided because of competition with more earth friendly laws, just because the other laws would make less money.. now i have been to a few other countries. i have to say, i did enjoy them much more. italy and holand were my fav. by far. in holand, i felt a welcoming i have never felt here. i didnt feel like i was being pushed by the companies...by the people, or by the police.. it was amazing. i could stand around and not have a cop come up to me and ask what i was doing.. i hardly saw any. most of the young people and adults took public transportation, or walked.. about two of the 20 yr olds i met had vehicles..the news was encouraging. it was more positive than it is here. and holand(along with numerous other countries) by statistics has far less crime. i walked into a coffee shop, paid what would be in american dollars 1.97, and received the biggest mug of wonderful cappacino, along with a fat j... it was heaven.. well, none of this really has to do with me hating america, more wishing i could get a greencard for another country. italy was lovely also...
